Mackenzie Emery, HIS

Mackenzie Emery, HIS

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Mackenzie joins us from Chesterfield, VA. She recently graduated from James Madison University’s Speech and Communication Disorders program. She will be in our Waterloo location learning the Hearing Instrument Specialist role. Mackenzie was drawn to the profession from a medical mission trip to Guatemala her Junior year of high school and then again in her Senior year. During the second trip she met a young child that could only communicate by grunting or pulling on his mother’s shirt. It became important to her that helping children and adults to cope and to get hearing help was what she felt most passionate about. To help them hear the best that they can.

The most important aspect about saving hearing lives to Mackenzie is that she is able to help individuals break down communication barriers between them and society. She will provide enthusiastic and consistent care with every patient who is in need of her assistance. Outside of saving hearing lives she enjoys cooking and exercising.
